Being Present, In and Out of the Water- June 29 2025

I had a great swim at Beaverlake today. I made my way to the rock, took a moment to pause, and meditated for about 10 minutes. On the way back, something shifted—my swim felt almost effortless. Every catch of the water was smooth, I rotated my body just right, and my strokes were minimal but effective. It was as if some magical switch turned on; I felt like I was on autopilot, completely present and in the moment.

While gliding through the water, I had this beautiful realization. I noticed how, in life, work, and relationships, I’m often trying so hard to make things happen. But during that swim, there was no forcing anything—just being present and letting things unfold naturally. Somehow, things flowed better that way.

Today’s swim felt like a turning point for me. It was totally zen, and I walked away feeling a deeper sense of trust in simply being present and letting life happen.
